Dr. Hinz is a medicinal chemist responsible for overseeing the advancement and integration of technology at Valisure. He completed his graduate education at the University of Cape Town, followed by postdoctoral fellowships in Physical Organic Chemistry and Pharmacology at Yale University and the Yale School of Medicine. As a technology co-founder at Ion Torrent, Wolfgang spearheaded the R&D in chemistry that led to the global commercialization of a DNA sequencing platform later acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Driven by a passion for public health, he holds an impressive track record of over 100 granted patents spanning chemistry, biology, and engineering.
