Chief Scientific Officer
Wolfgang Hinz, Valisure's Chief Scientific Officer, is a medicinal chemist responsible for overseeing the continuous advancement and integration of technology within the company. Dr. Hinz obtained his bachelor's and graduate education at the University of Cape Town, followed by postdoctoral fellowships in Physical Organic Chemistry and Pharmacology at Yale University and Yale School of Medicine. Having previously served as a technology co-founder at Ion Torrent, Wolfgang spearheaded Research and Development in chemistry, leading to the global commercialization of a DNA sequencing platform later acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Before this role, he was a Senior Research Scientist at the Rothberg Institute for Childhood Diseases and Raindance Technologies. Driven by a passion for leveraging technology to address public health challenges, Dr. Hinz has an impressive track record with over 100 granted patents, showcasing his substantial achievements in technology development spanning chemistry, biology, and engineering.
